Kristin, Tenjen, Nima Rinji receive a grand welcome at TIA

Kristin Harila, Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa, Nima Rinji Sherpa, Ang Dawa Sherpa, Muktu Lakpa Sherpa, Ngima Dorchi Sherpa, and Pechhumbe Sherpa received a grand welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu today.
- Kristin Harila and Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa have set a new world record for the fastest to climb all 14 eight-thousand-meter peaks in 3 Months 1 Day (92 Days)
- Nima Rinji Sherpa on a mission to climb all 14 peaks during his teenage years, completed his 8th 8000er by climbing K2 (Youngest to climb K2)
- Most siblings climbing K2 together, Ang Dawa Sherpa, Muktu Lakpa Sherpa, Ngima Dorchi Sherpa, and Pechhumbe Sherpa
Minister of State for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sushila Sirpali Thakuri, welcomed the climbers at TIA in the course of returning to Nepal after successfully climbing Mt K2. Representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Department of Tourism, Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal Mountaineering Association, Nepal Mountain Academy, The Norwegian Embassy in Kathmandu, Sherpa Society, different organizations related to tourism, and mountaineers were present at TIA on the occasion. Government representatives and tourism entrepreneurs welcomed the world record climbers playing cultural musical instruments.
Kristin and Tenjen broke the record of Nirmal Purja (NimsDai) who climbed the 14 mountains of the world above 8,000 meters in six months and six days in 2019.
A program was organized by Nepal Mountaineering Association to congratulate and honor the record-holder climbers.

Three climbers scale Mt Baruntse with Seven Summit Treks !
